Abstract

In 2002, after the arrival of Justice and Development Party to power. Turkish politics began to take on a new direction as Turkey's internal and external policies underwent a radical change. The party brought about an ideology of an Islamic character. The party aspired to increase its popularity among the masses and consolidate its political status. While on the external level, we see the AKP is having a strategy stating that Turkey has to play a role in the most important issues and political files in the Middle East, especially the Arab region. Despite all the internal and external challenges that Erdogan has faced over the past years, and what have been described as
