Abstract

Digital citizenship is one of the topics that occupy the attention of
thinkers in order to analyze its dimensions and the pivotal nature that revolves
in the orbit of information technology that occurred through the digital
industrial revolution. A space of thought of Western civilization, originally
linked to the concepts of equality، participation, and respect for the system of
rights and freedoms organized in the duties and practice of true democracy، has
emerged, all of which constitute intellectual tributaries in support of digital
citizenship. This concept did not develop in terms of intellectual theorization
and practical practice until after the emergence of rational political thought
and the ensuing renaissance-developmental movements whose main pillar is the
human being first and foremost, Between this and that, the features of the
continuity of intellectual activity began to enable a global citizenship that
transcends ideas and cultures.
