Abstract

The phenomenon of extremism, along with the associated violence and terrorism, and the fear, terror, killing, and destruction that accompany it, has become a defining feature of the contemporary world in which we live. It is a phenomenon that has recently occupied public opinion and generated much debate among scholars and thinkers. The term has become a common term on people's lips and in the media. Most thinkers speak of extremism as if it were a new phenomenon, but it has existed since ancient times. There is no doubt that extremism manifests itself in the behavior of many people and is due to several factors and motivations that drive it. It is crucial to review the factors and motivations that contribute to the emergence of this phenomenon, its causes, and the factors that fuel it.
