Abstract

In 2025, a general amnesty law was passed in Iraq. Opinions differed regarding its potential impact on human rights, including peace. Some were optimistic, believing it would be beneficial, while others agreed, believing it would increase risks. This differs from the differences in this work, which involved distributing questionnaires to samples of society to determine which of the two opinions was more correct. After a thorough investigation and analysis, it was found that while the law had harmful effects, its positive effects would be greater and would enhance human rights, and thus peace in Iraq, in the long term. This is because it would reduce injustice and hatred in society and instill a spirit of tolerance among individuals.
