Complaints Policy
Handling Complaints
The Journal of Legal and Political Sciences is committed to handling complaints, comments, and appeals in a fair, transparent, and effective manner, in accordance with publication ethics and the journal’s policies.
The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor receives complaints related to submission procedures, peer review, editorial decisions, published errors, research misconduct, or any issues concerning the journal’s work. The journal acknowledges receipt of the complaint within an appropriate period and conducts an initial review to determine its nature and the appropriate body responsible for handling it.
Complaints are reviewed confidentially and professionally. When necessary, additional documents or information may be requested from the complainant or relevant parties. The journal seeks to resolve complaints as promptly as possible while ensuring fairness, impartiality, confidentiality of peer review, and editorial independence.
If the complaint concerns an editorial decision, it must be based on clear scientific or procedural grounds. A difference of scientific opinion alone is not sufficient to change an editorial decision unless supported by evidence of a procedural, review-related, or ethical error. If the complaint concerns plagiarism, duplicate publication, conflict of interest, or a significant error in a published article, it shall be handled in accordance with the journal’s policies on publication ethics, corrections, and retractions.
If the complaint is directed against a member of the Editorial Board or the person responsible for handling the complaint, it shall be referred to an independent editor or a designated committee to ensure impartiality and avoid conflicts of interest.

This policy aims to:
- Ensure that complaints are handled fairly, objectively, and effectively.
